The Model 250 has 3 power outlets for maximum versatility in research. Two of the outlets are used for heating up to 1800 Watts. The third outlet (360 Watts), used normally for cooling, is programmable to provide power below, above or at the entered temperature. The third outlet can be used to turn on an alarm for an over or under temperature condition. Controller has the ability to display temperature without heating. The Model 250 controls temperature to within ±0.1°C of liquids for 1 ml to 5 liters. Available with a choice of Type "T" or Type "J" thermocouple.     The only temperature controller available with a built-in independent back up controller to guard against heating accidents from equipment failure. The desired temperature is entered into the main temperature controller's digital meter which regulates heating. A high temperature cutoff is then entered into the backup limit controller meter. If the reaction reaches the high temperature limit, power is turned off to the heater until the controller is manually reset. Both meters independently monitor the reaction temperature.
